The first time I met Mistah FAB was in 2007. He had a huge buzz, was gaining popularity, and had recently signed to Atlantic Records.
The crazy thing is that signing to Atlantic didn't propel his career forward.
It actually almost stopped it completely with various label issues preventing them from even putting out his album.
It's sad that a lot of artist's stories end here. Luckily, FAB is extremely resourceful and resilient and he didn't give up.
Instead of waiting for the label, we went to work on his next album, Son of a Pimp 2.
The album featured artists like Snoop, Lupe Fiasco, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar and a ton of other big names.
